Updated fees effective from December 1st, 2025

As of December 1st, 2025, new fees will take effect, based on the official maximum rates published by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) for GZ psychologists.

These fees apply both to clients receiving care through their health insurance (non-contracted care) and to expats or private-pay clients.

Reimbursement conditions depend on your individual insurance policy (natura, restitution or hybrid). Please check your coverage in advance to understand your reimbursement percentage.

  • A referral from your family physician is necessary, if you would like to receive reimbursement. The fees for psychological help are regulated by the NZA which is the Dutch Health Care Authority. Please see for detailed information: www.nza.nl
  • It is always important to contact your insurance company first and to ask directly how much reimbursement you will receive for treatment from a BIG registered Gz psychologist who has no contracts with the insurance companies.
  • You have to be sure with your own insurance how much you will get covered after paying the cost of your treatment.
  • Each insurance manages different percentages of reimbursement.
  • International Insurance companies like CIGNA , AON, JSIS and MSH will usually reimburse psychological help for 100%, but it is always advisable to check directly with your health care provider first.
  • I do work with Dutch insurances but contract free. That means for you:
  • If you want the Dutch insurance to cover your treatment, please get in contact with your insurance company first and make sure to know if you have a restitution policy or a natura policy.

Restitution Policy

At the end of each month, you will receive an invoice from your therapist, which you need to pay to the therapist yourself; you can then send the invoice to your health insurance provider for a 100% reimbursement, subject to the prior consent of your health insurance provider and a referral letter from your general practitioner for the beginning of the therapy. (100% /restitutie verzekering)

Natura Policy

At the end of each month, you will receive an invoice from your therapist, which you need to pay to the therapist yourself; you can then send the invoice to your health insurance provider for a 65-75% reimbursement (these rates depend on your health insurance provider), subject to the prior consent of your health insurance provider and a referral letter from your general practitioner for the beginning of the therapy.
